We will only accept applications from staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the pre‑operative assessment nursing team. The post holder will administrate for all clinical staff to ensure efficient running of the pre‑operative service and facilitate audit, information gathering and completion of condition‑specific data reports.

Main Duties

  • Work alongside nursing staff, doctors, the public, management and staff from internal and external sources through clerical duties.
  • High levels of customer service and excellent communication/interpersonal skills, using initiative to solve problems.
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably working with the public; competent in ICT, attention to detail and accurate data capture.
  • Welsh speaking desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome.

Experience and Essential Criteria

  • Able to concentrate on administrative duties in an unpredictable environment, managing work amid constant interruptions from patients, medical staff and external agencies.
  • Good general standard of education.

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to use a variety of computer databases (IFIT WPAS and Microsoft Office packages) and previous medical records or hospital‑based clerical experience.
  • Experience of working directly with clinical/consultant staff.
  • Previous waiting list management experience.
