We are pleased to offer a Band 6 midwife position within the maternity service of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, North Wales. The post holder will be based within the community team in Porthmadog. This role includes weekend working and on‑call commitments. We only accept applications from staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Responsibilities

  • Organise own workload for a specified group of patients (caseload).
  • Practice all aspects of community midwifery in line with local and national evidence‑based guidance as part of the community team.
  • Provide on‑call service to the North Wales homebirth service and escalation support to the local Obstetric Unit.

Requirements

  • Practising midwife with a registered midwifery qualification.
  • Evidence of further education (desirable).
  • Midwifery qualification (essential).
  • Recent evidence of community work (desirable).
  • Ability to speak Welsh desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
