An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 5 medicines management Pharmacy Technician to join the BCUHB Integrated Vaccination Service who is registered within General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
The job purpose is to provide medicines management support, training, cold-chain management support, stock management to the immunisation service, GP Practices and other stakeholders in the delivery of safe, high quality and cost-effective service and building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring the medicines management team are seen as supportive at all times.
Working with patients to optimise medicines management.
To provide medicines management support to GP practices in provision of the delivery of safe, high quality and cost effective prescribing. Building strong relationships with the GP practices and ensuring the medicines management team are seen as supportive at all times.
To develop, support and update working processes within nominated GP practices to make more efficient use of practice and NHS resources. Supporting multidisciplinary working and development of medicines management services.
Main duties of the job
Pharmacy Technician with strong problem solving skills. Applicants must be self-motivated and organised. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team and contribute to the process of service development and innovation by your own initiative and enthusiasm.
You will act as an advocate for pharmacy services and guardian of medicines safety. You will be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
The successful candidate will be required to travel and support across the region within the service.
The right candidate will be given the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills further through development opportunities supported by our friendly and experienced team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
