Working as part of a team in a busy appointments call centre, booking a range of outpatient clinic appointments and theatre procedures.

Main Duties:

  • Join the patient booking department based in Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
  • The role is in a busy call centre environment with responsibility for managing a waiting list and booking patients.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is essential; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Book outpatient clinic appointments and theatre procedures.
  • Manage patient waiting list.
  • Communicate with patients via phone.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSE Maths and English A-C.
  • NVQ3 or equivalent, or knowledge/experience in a busy office environment.
  • IT knowledge, Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in acute hospital/GP practice or call centre environment.
  • Experience with NHS systems.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, telephone communication.
  • Teamworking ability.
  • Previous waiting list management (desirable).
  • Understanding of medical terminology / NHS experience (desirable).
