As a Stores Laboratory Support Worker in Blood Sciences, the post holder works under supervision of qualified scientists to perform delegated tasks essential for delivering a fit-for-purpose, 24/7 medical laboratory service. This service analyses and reports on blood, urine, feces, and other body materials to ensure efficient and effective patient care, as well as resource management within the hospital.
We are looking to appoint a full-time Band 3 Medical Laboratory Stores Assistant in our Blood Sciences Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. This key role complements the expertise of experienced scientists and science assistants and is part of a fast-paced diagnostic service.
The successful candidate should have a basic knowledge of laboratory services, demonstrate a capacity to learn and develop, and be committed to providing excellent service for the benefit of the community. Strong team working skills, effective communication, and a respectful, dignified approach are essential. We value accountability and shared responsibility, offering peer support and a supportive team environment.
You will receive training and support to develop your skills further. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
