Join Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales, the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for around 700,000 people. We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 7 Podiatrist to join our dynamic team, working across both our specialist Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) Clinic and our vascular ward. In this pivotal role you will work closely with our Lead Podiatrist on inpatient care, while contributing your expertise to our twice‐daily multidisciplinary DFU clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient podiatry provision to patients with foot problems.
  • Clinically support the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice, acting as a source of expertise.
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge and a high level of personal skill.
  • Train, supervise and assess the performance of podiatry staff.
  • Support management of complex cases and promote empowerment of individuals to self‐manage their conditions.

Qualifications

  • At least five years NHS post‐registration experience, working independently in both community and acute settings.
  • Sound theoretical knowledge base and evidence‐based practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Welsh is desirable but not essential; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
