Assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient, their family and carers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan.
- Carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.
- Support the district nursing team to care for those living in the community who require nursing care.
- Travel between patients' homes both within towns and rural areas in a timely manner.
