This post is a fixed‑term secondment until 31 March 2027 for staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Applicants must obtain permission from their line manager before applying. The role supports a pilot programme on Anglesey that promotes the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver nutrition‑based 1:1 and group education sessions, including practical cooking skills.
  • Motivate and guide families to participate in health‑promoting activities, monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes to the team and partners.
  • Work autonomously on specific project areas, seeking advice and support as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain positive partnership working across stakeholders, including local authority staff, health workers, leisure staff, and the voluntary sector.
  • Engage in partnership discussions and forums to share experiences and reflect on areas of success.
  • Produce resources and training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, information sheets, handouts and evaluation tools.

Qualifications

  • Good general education and evidence of sound English language skills and mathematics.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Healthcare and willingness to work towards a Level 4 qualification within three years in post.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS, social care, or community settings.
  • Experience of using IT software and applications such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook.
  • Experience of working with children and families or relevant community groups.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with families/community groups.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
