Are you an Occupational Therapy Student wishing to gain experience during your free time? Are you considering going into Occupational Therapy as a career? We are looking for staff to join our Band 3 Bank which covers all hospitals and communities within the west area of BCUHB within both the physical and mental health fields. Interviews will be held in person.
Main duties of the job:
The Occupational Therapy service within the West Integrated Health Community provides a service to adults and children across acute, community and primary care settings (physical and mental health). Bank opportunities are therefore varied, and the type of work offered to successful applicants will be dependent on the needs of the service at the time. As an Occupational Therapy support worker, you will work under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists to provide a holistic and person centred service to patients. This may include patient facing tasks, administrative tasks and other tasks to support the day to day running of the departments. The post provides an excellent opportunity for Occupational Therapy students, or those interested in Occupational Therapy as a career, to develop their knowledge and skills within a supportive clinical environment, and provides an excellent opportunity for networking locally. Good communication and organisational skills are essential along with the ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team environment. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and / or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
