Are you passionate about Education and Training for the Primary Care workforce? Are you a nurse looking for a new opportunity? Then this could be the role for you. The Academy has a part-time Practice Development Nurse role working with GP Practices.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Education and Training for the Primary Care workforce, supporting Practice Nurse workforce and Health Care Support Workers, taking a lead role in supporting the General Practice Nurse Foundation programme, the Health Care Support Worker Foundation programme and the promotion of student nurse placements.
Main duties of the job:The post holder will work on a regional basis engaging with the Integrated Health Communities and Clusters to support the Head of Education and Training for the Primary Care workforce, to ensure the proactive design, development and commissioning of a range of skills, education and training opportunities to meet the current and emerging needs of the workforce and services to meet population need.
The post holder will maintain an active dialogue and engagement with professional and clinical nursing leads in the Integrated Health Communities and corporate support services and with Cluster Leads and Cluster teams.
The post holder will work collaboratively with HEIW and local education and training providers, leading on a range of skills development, education and training programmes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
