This post is fixed term / secondment for 30 months to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The Day of Surgery Arrivals Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd requires Band 2 Health Care Support Worker. The successful applicant will join a supportive and dedicated team. The successful applicant should have some experience in care, preferably in the hospital environment. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as having initiative and organisational skills. Training, mentorship and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job include:
- A well motivated, conscientious person is sought to work in a busy Day Unit.
- The post will allow the individual to enhance their existing knowledge in a varied clinical setting.
- The successful applicant will support the trained nurse in various specialties ensuring that safe, quality and compassionate care is delivered.
- The Day Unit is constantly evolving with developments and added opportunities.
- A good communicator and team player is essential.
- An interest in Health Promotion is desirable.
- A willingness to develop and practice new skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
