Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time or part-time Band 2 Health Care Assistant within the Medical Directorate at Wrexham Maelor Hospital Culiffe Ward, Renal Unit.
The successful candidates will work within acute adult wards within the Medical Directorate, caring for patients admitted into hospital. Applicants must have an approachable manner to deal with patients and their relatives, and desirable experience of a hospital environment. You will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management. Following an agreed level of training, NVQ level 2 & 3 in care, the successful candidate will be required to work internal rotation on the ward. An induction programme will be arranged for orientation into the Medical team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a ward nursing team under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.
- Undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks after training within the ward.
- Care for acute adult patients admitted to hospital in the Medical Directorate.
