An opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Health Care Support within the Medical Directorate at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The successful candidates will work within acute adult wards within the Medical Directorate caring for patients admitted into hospital. Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.
Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management. Following an agreed level of training, NVQ level 2 & 3 in care, the successful candidate will be required to work internal rotation on the ward. Successful applicants will have an induction programme arranged for their orientation into the Medical team.
Main duties of the jobApplicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management. You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
