We currently have a vacancy for a Band 5 Community Clinic Nurse working 16 hours per week in the Flint District Nursing Team. The post requires a registered nurse with evidence of continued professional development. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, work within a team, and be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clinically effective care within the District Nurse Team are essential. An awareness of the evolving role within district nursing is required.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide quality, planned care for patients.
- The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in the community.
- Collaboration with the district nursing team and other agencies to deliver clinically effective care is expected.
Qualifications (Essential):
- NMC Registered
Qualifications (Desirable):
- Evidence of post‑registration study and training, e.g. POVA, Child Protection, Intermediate Life Support
Experience (Essential):
- Pre‑registration evidence in direct nursing care
- Experience of providing holistic nursing care
- Interest in developing nursing skills
Experience (Desirable):
- Clear understanding of the clinical governance framework
- Implement evidence‑based practice
Skills & Competencies (Essential):
- Clear understanding of the contract of care
- Ability to document details clearly and accurately
- Clear understanding of the consent process
- Basic IT skills
Skills & Competencies (Desirable):
- Knowledge of incident reporting policy
- Awareness of policy and incident reporting procedures
Personal / Disposition (Essential):
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work under pressure
