The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
The post holder will be an expert practitioner in dermatology nursing, providing clinical and educational support within the health board.
They will deliver high quality evidence based, individualised care to patients with all types of dermatological problems.
This will be a general dermatology nursing post with responsibilities including managing and providing a specialist service for patients with acute and chronic skin disease in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
It will also include the assessment and management of patients with leg ulcers, pre‑cancerous and cancerous skin lesions in addition to the support of consultant ward rounds. This entails managing a high clinical work load whilst providing clinical, social and psychological support to the patients enabling them through education and health promotion to reach their optimum level of independence and health.
The post holder will also provide support and education to other health care professionals.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, dynamic and forward thinking to join our busy dermatology department which includes consultant dermatologists, speciality doctors, specialist nurses and practitioners, and medical secretaries.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner to provide complex and specialised care, ensuring patients are supported in a holistic manner.
The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise and apply evidenced based practice to patients with both acute and chronic dermatological conditions and in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
This post is open to applicants at Band 6 level with a view to progressing to be a Band 7.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
