Deputise for the Head of Pharmacy, Primary Care and Community with other cross sector operational leads, representing the role of pharmacy in the delivery of care and contributing to the direction of service delivery. This is a part-time role (22.5 hours).

Responsibilities

  • Operationally lead, promote and support the continued development of the pharmacy services within primary care and community, with a focus on patient care and outcomes.
  • Lead and collaborate with colleagues across the integrated health community to drive service development.
  • Support the development of advanced practice across all professions and contribute to increasing the number of non-medical prescribers providing clinical services.
  • Encourage innovation and development within the department and support pathways for professional education and portfolio development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in clinical pharmacy services, leadership, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Interest in developing advanced practice and supporting education for prescribers (e.g., Independent prescribing course, MSc).
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and deliver patient-centered care.
