We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive team administrator to join the Safeguarding Team at Colwyn Bay Hospital. The candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Eligible applicants must be staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Applications may be submitted in Welsh; applications in Welsh will not be treated less favourably.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administration duties.
- Work as a team player, flexible, organised, and able to handle pressure in a busy environment.
- Represent the department with professionalism and meet the demands of a fast‑paced setting.
- Speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.

Essential criteria:
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Typing qualification RSA 3 or equivalent.
- ECDL/CLAIT.
- Proficiency in clerical and administrative procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Work without supervision.
- Experience of handling confidential information and Employee Relations issues.
- Substantial previous experience within an administrative role.
- Knowledge of I.T. systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent administrative and clerical skills.
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and meet set deadlines.
