BCUHB are looking to recruit a Band 7 Continence Advisor to join our current Continence Team within Conwy and Denbighshire (Central Area). We are committed to ensuring we meet the direct needs of our local communities, maintaining individuals’ independence and improving their quality of life.
Job Purpose
The post supports the delivery of safe and effective services for patients with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction. The role focuses on assessment, management and treatment to improve patient outcomes, requiring strong leadership to mentor staff and ensure high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, manage and treat patients with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff within the Continence Team.
- Ensure high‑quality, patient‑centred care and support service delivery.
Qualifications
- Experienced Community Staff Nurse or Acute Nurse with Urology or Colorectal care experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Desire to develop skills, knowledge and competencies in managing continence care needs in a community setting.
- Welsh language ability desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
