Exciting opportunity to increase access to psychological services across stepped care mental health services in North Wales. Leadership role in psychological development, training, supervision, and supporting multidisciplinary staff.
Main duties
Benefit from BCUHB-wide professional links. Opportunity for research and clinical networking. Support ongoing peer support and advancement. Experienced, resilient, highly motivated Clinical Psychologist.
Part of service developments; support and shape implementation of Matrics Cymru locally; support local clinical quality assurance. Work alongside MDT; responsible for staff support.
Qualifications and experience
- Good Honours degree in Psychology. Eligibility for BPS Chartered status.
- Registration with HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) accredited by BPS.
- Appropriate experience as a Clinical Psychologist, including substantial supervised post‑qualification expertise within adult mental health.
- Additional specialist supervised training, mentoring, research or study, specialist courses, and clinical supervision in adult clinical psychology and managerial issues.
Desirable criteria
- Advanced training in research design and methodology.
- Formal training in supervision.
- Ability to speak Welsh.
- Driving skills.
Aptitude and abilities
- Use high level of interpersonal and communication skills, empathy and reassurance, convey and receive complex/sensitive information effectively, maintain high professionalism.
