An exciting opportunity has become available in the West IHC Specialist Palliative Care Team. We are seeking to appoint a confident, credible and inspirational Team Lead part time to work as a pivotal member of the Specialist Palliative Care team in providing effective leadership, delivering high quality care, service improvement and workforce development with the support of the Head of Nursing. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a clinical nurse leader, working with the Management Team to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence based services. He/she will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Clinical Governance frameworks and in giving professional advice in relation to the development of services, within the area/division. They will be responsible for planning of care coordination and services within the service and with all stakeholders. To develop the nursing workforce/services that contribute to the delivery of the local service plans, Health and WellâBeing Strategies, and other national strategies that are:
- Based on patient and public involvement
- Liberate the potential of staff
The Nurse Lead is jointly responsible, along with other nurse leads, for the leadership and development of the nursing team and monitoring and improving quality standards and patient experience, ensuring professional challenge occurring as necessary.

- Masters Degree or equivalent experience in Nursing or health related subject or working towards with completion in three years
- Significant relevant experience in a managerial post
