This post is fixed term/secondment until 11.10.2026 due to maternity cover. The Children's Neurodevelopmental Service is a 0‑18 service that works across Gwynedd and Anglesey local authorities. We are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals from a variety of backgrounds who offer comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments as well as medication and support to children and young people diagnosed with ADHD.
Applicants should be registered professionals such as nurse, social worker, clinical psychologist, occupational therapist or speech and language therapist, and have a valid registration with an appropriate professional body. Applicants should also demonstrate experience in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD and/or ADHD) and with children and families. Full training and supervision will be provided to ensure that the successful applicant becomes familiar with the assessment tools and processes used within the service. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties of the Job- To work within a multi-disciplinary service completing neurodevelopment assessments for children and young people and contributing to internal assessment meetings and service improvement.
- Provide support, advice and guidance to parents and carers of children and young people with neurodevelopment conditions.
- Provide clinical and managerial support for junior colleagues.
- Undertake awareness raising and training for external agencies and internal service professionals where required.
