The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated team player with excellent communication skills to provide clinical treatment in accordance with a Band A job description and Welsh Government (WG) policy. We would also consider a dental therapist for this role to work within the scope of practice as outlined by the GDC. Employed under A4C agreements starting at a Band 6 salary.
This is a unique opportunity to provide a full range of high-quality NHS dental care to a range of patients in order to increase access to NHS dental care. Working at our Bethesda Dental Clinic you will play a key role in working as a general dental practitioner. You will also work closely with dental nurses & therapists to ensure a skill mixed approach to dental care.
As part of our team, you'll be supported in developing your clinical skills and contributing to service improvement through clinical governance, audit and peer review.
We are a branch of the North Wales Community Dental Service which is a large service employing over 200 staff and is committed to continuing education. Most clinical staff are trained in Inhalation Sedation, a service offered by dentists and therapists at most of our sites. IV sedation services are also available and the Community Dental Service operates general anaesthetic services at the three District General Hospitals. We are also supported by a visiting Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry from Alder Hey Hospital.
Enhanced services include an Intermediate Tier Dentoalveolar Surgery Service and the provision of Special Care Dentistry support to the Head and Neck Cancer MDT. Direct Access and Inhalation Sedation training for Therapists is provided and we are committed to expanding our skill mix models. A number of preventative oral health promotion programmes operate.
