Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse who is ready for a challenge? The West Site Stoma / Colorectal Nursing team is seeking a highly self-motivated CNS, with a desire to promote and develop clinical excellence in clinical practice. The successful post holder will join an established Stoma / Colorectal Nursing team and provide nursing support to inpatient / outpatient areas.
Main duties of the job:
- The post holder will be required to deliver patient care complementary to that offered by Doctors and other health care professionals within the field of Stoma / Colorectal Care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- The successful post holder will act as part of the stoma care nursing team and support both in-patient and out-patient services to ensure patients receive appropriate management/treatment, aid their pathway and contribute to decreased length of stay.
- The post holder will work collaboratively as a member of the Stoma / Colorectal team to ensure both elective / emergency patients receive holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care needs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Job responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse with current Registration with the N.M.C.
- Post Registration Education, a Diploma / Degree Level
- Post-Registration nursing experience at Band 5 level or above
- Demonstrate involvement in change management and successful implementation of practice / quality improvements.
- Excellent Organisational and Leadership skills.
- Experience of multi-professional working / working effectively with other stakeholders.

- Stoma/Colorectal Course or equivalent.
Experience:
- Substantial post-registration experience with experience of Stoma/Colorectal patients.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the advances and current issues in Lower Gastro-intestinal disorders.
