We wish to appoint an experienced, motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist, with the necessary knowledge and skills in Flow Cytometry to join our team at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to focus on quality and service provision and will have interpersonal skills to lead the team as you achieve change and improvement by working with our established Blood Sciences site management team.

Essential criteria

  • Good, up to date knowledge of laboratory Flow Cytometry service.
  • Knowledge & Experience of a wider Blood Sciences Service
  • Evidence of involvement with service development
  • Evidence of managing a laboratory or sections within a laboratory
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering quality led laboratory services

Desirable criteria

  • Ability to speak Welsh
  • Experience of developing a laboratory service

Skill

Essential Criteria

  • Evidence of working as part of a multidisiplinary team
  • Good technical, quality and safety knowledge
  • Evidence of ability to organise workload to meet deadlines and clinical priorities
  • Evidence of good communication skills

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of implementing a new process
  • Evidence of teaching and coaching
  • Evidence of participation in quality assessments and accreditation visits
  • Evidence of staff management
  • Good IT knowledge
