What we’re looking for: You’ll:
- Deliver safe, effective clinical pharmacy services within your allocated area
- Take part in the pharmacist rota, including on‑call duties
- Provide expert medicines advice across primary and secondary care
- Promote evidence‑based, cost‑effective use of medicines
- Support and train other pharmacy team members
- Get involved in practice development and research
Main duties of the job:
- Provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to allocated clinical area
- Undertake professional clinical pharmacist duties as per rota, including on‑call provision
- Provide pharmaceutical advice and support within both primary and secondary care services as required
- Develop, encourage and promote evidence‑based, cost effective use of medicines
- Assist in providing clinical training and supervision of other pharmacy staff
- Be involved in the development and delivery of practice research

Person specification:
Essential criteria:- MPharm degree or equivalent
- Registered as a pharmacist with the GPhC
- Knowledge of clinical pharmacy and therapeutics
- Knowledge of electronic and manual information sources
- Experience of working with direct patient contact (managed sector or community pharmacy)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team
- Computer literate
- Willingness to participate in on‑call out of hours duty roster and bilingual service where necessary
- Postgraduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
- Training qualification
- Practicing member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
- Experience of patient‑orientated medicines systems
- Organisational ability
- Welsh speaking (preferred)
- Enthusiastic and committed to self‑study and self‑development
- Interested in general public holiday and weekend pharmacy service provision
- Willingness to work in bilingual areas and participate in on‑call duties
