An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Facilities Coordinator covering all services within Facilities West. The Facilities Coordinator will support the Facilities Management Team in the delivery of efficient and effective operational services provided by Facilities, within the locality, contributing to the achievement of Statutory Compliance for all Facilities services.

This post will support the Operational Facilities Managers with:

  • Managing attendance at work
  • Organising and attending sickness meetings to the second formal stage
  • Facilitating the recruitment and selection of potential facilities staff
  • Completing the necessary inputting of information in E Rostering and ESR
  • Deputising in the absence of the Facilities Coordinator (Catering, Domestics and Portering)

Working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm but weekend and bank holidays will be required occasionally depending on service needs. The post holder is based at Ysbyty Gwynedd but works within Facilities in the Community and also Acute when required. This post holder is a key member of the Facilities team and will be required to provide support in the development of service improvements and assist with or undertake specific tasks/projects as required. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Assist the Operational Facilities Managers and Facilities Coordinators with staff management within Facilities Teams in Acute and Community sites.
  • Implement the Managing Attendance at Work Policy, organise, carry out and attend sickness meetings to the second formal stage for all three services.
  • Follow the recruitment and selection process for the Facilities Team.
  • Input information on ESR and ensure that the E Roster System is maintained.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Facilities Coordinator for Catering, Domestics and Portering.
  • Travel between all community sites within the West locality.

Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience within a Facilities or similar Department.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Able to travel between multiple sites.
  • Ability to undertake personal development reviews.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Willing to work flexibly.
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience.
  • Substantial experience within departments with a Facilities function.
  • Evidence of leading supervisory staff.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, employment and relevant legislation.
