The predicted salary is between 38141 - 46617 £ per year.
To support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward. To take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager. To ensure the ward runs efficiently, by promoting mental health care through Health Board policies and NMC guidelines and code of practice. To contribute to the development of junior staff, which furthers the objectives of the service, by providing supervision and tuition, based on research and developing trends in health care.
Main duties of the job include:
- Assisting the Ward Manager in delivering the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the ethos of the service is conducive to patient care.
- Taking charge of the day-to-day Clinical and Nurse Management of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
- Fostering harmonious working relationships within the Multi-disciplinary team.
- Overseeing the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care in a multi-disciplinary setting, with minimal supervision.
- Being a Keyworker to a group of patients, managing a caseload of clients, and supervising staff at lower grades.
- Supervising junior staff and teaching qualified and unqualified staff.
- Being part of the unit duty nurse rota for day and night shifts.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
