Provide a clinical leadership role in the delivery of Orthotic Services by:
- Developing and maintaining clinical standards in line with best practice.
- Providing clinical advice to the organisation, particularly the Head of Podiatry and Orthotics.
- Developing a competency based framework for practitioners working with clients who require orthotic devices and providing skills based training.
- Conducting critical analysis, appraisal and synthesis of current research outcomes and/or relevant literature to maintain expert levels of knowledge and practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and influence orthotic clinical services and standard setting.
- Advise senior leadership on orthotic matters.
- Create and deliver competency training for orthotic practitioners.
- Review and integrate current research into clinical practice.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Achieved HCPC registration.
- Comprehensive experience working within Orthotics.
- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
Desirable:
- Post‑registration experience.
- Previous leadership experience leading a team.
- Experience in audit and innovation projects.
- Extensive practical knowledge of orthotics.
Welsh language proficiency is desirable; applications in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those in English.
