Based at Ogwen Ward, you will work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, geriatricians, nursing staff and therapists to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care. This is a ward‑based role with no on‑call commitments, making it ideal for doctors seeking predictable hours alongside meaningful clinical experience.

Main duties of the job:
- These posts are not part of a national core training scheme but will offer similar training opportunities to clinical fellows at CT level.
- A comprehensive teaching programme will provide access to protected consultant‑led teaching opportunities.
- We are an exciting diverse department, with ample exposure to trauma and elective activity, which becomes increasingly busy during peak holiday periods.
- The post holders will be encouraged to undertake research as well as audit projects, with access to a generous study budget, supported by the Orthopaedic clinical team.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- MBBS MRCS (or equivalent)
- Clinical Experience:
- Relevant and recent experience at clinical fellow trainee level and above
- Completion of Foundation Year 2 training (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification when starting the job
- ATLS provider
- 12 months NHS experience (not including clinical attachments)
- One year Medical and or Surgical Specialties experience
- Experience in T&O or Orthogeriatrics
- Personal Attributes:
- Enthusiasm & ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Communication Skills:
- Good written & oral communication skills
- Welsh speaker
