Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Activities Coordinator to work on Clywedog Ward. The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to plan, organise and facilitate a comprehensive range of individualised, group and one-to-one activities for inpatients in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and encourage appropriate, individualised levels of patient participation and facilitate activities that promote social interaction, enhance self-esteem and help to maintain or enhance functional ability.
  • Support the Ward Senior Sister / Charge Nurse and Ward nursing team to ensure high standards of care.
  • Work with ward nursing staff to ensure patients receive the best possible outcome and experience during their hospital stay.

Working environment and requirements

The Band 3 Activities Coordinator is a permanent post, predominantly Monday to Friday with a flexible approach required, and will support the ward nursing staff to ensure the best possible patient experience.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
