We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our small team within our Day Opportunities service for adults with learning disabilities in Bridgnorth.
Previous experience as a support worker in a social care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide practical, emotional, and behavioural support to individuals who access our service.
- Support adults with learning disabilities with personal care tasks, eating and drinking, and promoting independence.
- Help individuals develop everyday skills and participate fully in activities.
- Run programmed activity sessions within the centre and in the community.
- Liaise with parents and carers and report directly to the Manager.
Requirements:
- Driver Full UK Manual D1 on Driving license – non-negotiable.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to new challenges and ways of working.
- Open to trying new things and supporting a variety of activities.
- MIDAS Training.
- Health and Social Care qualifications.
