Assistant Service Manager in South/West Shrewsbury. Full-time admin hours (37.5 hours). Salary up to £26,618.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager to work across five shared supported living services in Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will support the Service Manager to lead, manage, and develop staff teams, delivering outstanding, person-centred support to up to 15 individuals with learning disabilities and autism.

You will play a key role in promoting independence, supporting people to achieve their goals and aspirations, and ensuring services remain compliant, safe and of a high quality. This is a full-time, off-rota position; however, some direct support may be required when needed to ensure continuity of care and a willingness to work flexibly to support your staff team.

You will be confident, organised and proactive with a supportive leadership style, bolstering your team with mentoring and supervision. You will be committed to Bethphage's values, policies and procedures, whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory, organisational and quality standards. With values driven support, placement planning, reviews and documentation, you will ensure high quality, person-centred support is delivered at all times. You will be focused on promoting independence and positive outcomes for the people we support.

About You:

Essential Requirements:

  • Driver with UK manual licence for at least 1 year and own vehicle
  • Supervisory or previous managerial experience within Health and Social Care
  • A strong understanding of Person-Centred Thinking and Planning
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • A good understanding of compliance and quality control
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Good IT skills including Eclipse and Care Planner
  • Promote independence and daily living skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
