The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Assist in the management of key project deliverables whilst ensuring compliance with all quality procedures and safe working practices, undertaking all works to the highest possible Health, Safety and Environmental standards, whilst safeguarding the wellbeing of all employees.

Work with partners, sub-contractors, directly employed operatives and other professionals to support this process and drive cost efficiency.

Undertake daily H&S briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions as necessary for all workers on site and upload these records onto the Company servers in a timely manner.

Compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) as directed by your line manager.

Carry out site safety inspections on a weekly basis and forward to HSQE Dept in a timely manner.

Ensure checks on site boundaries, hoardings, fences and warning signage are undertaken during the day and that all site work is left in a secure and safe manner at the end of each daily shift.

Ensure all company policies and procedures are implemented and complied with.

Have a good understanding of the Client's Requirements for each project and construct the works on site to ensure they comply with these requirements.

Management of site personnel as agreed with your line manager to ensure that efficient working is being undertaken.

Motivate the site workforce accordingly to ensure that the project meets its objectives.

Engagement with subcontractors, coordination of their works, approving and acceptance of their works to the correct standard.

Regular on-site inspections to ensure Quality standards are being maintained.

Ensure that all negative issues such as near misses, environmental incidents and customer complaints are fully investigated and reported to Board level.

Ensuring accurate site records are kept and all site records are accurately filed at the end of a Project.

Take ownership of site security to ensure that the Company's assets are protected to the highest reasonable level and in accordance with the Company's guidelines.

Manage the short-term planning and programming of site works in liaison with the relevant Project Manager/Contracts Manager.

Organise daily deliveries of materials/plant with sufficient advance planning, ensuring all resources are used effectively and efficiently.

Consider recycling and re-use of materials whenever suitable opportunities arise.

Review and ensure that suitable Environmental Management measures are implemented and maintained.

Site deliveries are checked to ensure compliance with requisition and any damage or shortages reported to the relevant department.

Weekly checking of all plant and equipment on site and inform the Plant Department of any discrepancies or variations from their weekly published plant record.

Keep accurate diaries, photographs and other documentation as necessary to record progress on site and ensure that these records are uploaded onto the Company servers in a timely manner.

Carry out all Quality inspections such as pre-pour inspections and excavation records as agreed with your line manager and upload these records onto the Company servers in a timely manner.

Implement the agreed Quality measures on site to suit the work scope and specification. Maintaining accurate Quality records and timely reporting of all non-conformance issues.

Maintain up to date drawings and documentation as required for the accurate building of the project including all drawing registers.

Pre-completion Quality inspections to target a zero-defect completion.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS accreditation
  • SMSTS 5-day accreditation
  • Experience in excavation/groundworks/concreting/drainage/highways
  • Full clean driving licence
  • HNC/HND/Degree qualification in construction-related studies preferable
  • Experience of working within Water industry preferable
  • Good working knowledge of the construction industry and of all relevant trade disciplines
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products / internet and email
  • Leadership, planning and organisational qualities
  • Motivator and people manager
  • Understanding the importance of Company Image and promoting the Bethell brand
