About the Role

The Head of Geography will lead the subject across Years 7 to 13 and teach pupils from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.

We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time appointment.

Geography is a popular GCSE option at Bethany. You will teach from Key Stage 3 through to A Level, lead colleagues and build on an engaging curriculum and established fieldwork programme. There is scope to contribute fresh ideas, including project-based learning at Key Stage 3 and new fieldwork opportunities.

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level, strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire pupils across the ability range. We welcome applications from experienced subject leaders and teachers ready to take the next step into departmental leadership.

The department follows Edexcel iGCSE and A Level specifications and benefits from two well-equipped teaching rooms, shared resources and a budget to support development. You will be confident using technology, committed to pupils' progress and wellbeing, and keen to contribute to the wider life of our boarding and day school.
