As a Retail Assistant, you will join a fantastic and energetic team of staff and volunteers. You will be involved in sorting, recycling, pricing, gift-aiding, and displaying donated goods in line with our guidance. This position also requires competent use of the till and some financial tasks, such as cashing up. You will be a keyholder and will be responsible for opening and closing the shop, working on alternating Saturdays.
Haddington Place is one of our five Edinburgh shops. The purpose of our shops is to raise vital funds for our front‑line services and also to play a key role in serving the local community. All of our services focus on relieving immediate suffering and meeting the long‑term needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland. By joining Bethany Retail, you would be supporting key projects such as the Welcome Centre, Care Van, Family Support work, Housing Support and many more.

- Starting salary: £20,984.00 gross per annum
- Fixed‑term, Part‑time: 30 hours / 4 days per week
- Maternity Cover: July 2026 – July 2027
- Holiday entitlement: 225 hours per year pro rata
