We are looking for a Housing First Practitioner who is passionate about helping people who are homeless and have multiple support needs.

Role

Bethany Christian Trusts Housing Support Fife is a dynamic and growing service providing multiple models of housing support across Fife and we are looking to recruit a Housing First Practitioner to be part of our Housing First team.

Housing First helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It gives people a home as quickly as possible and provides support to help them keep their home. Housing First is for people with a live homeless case and evidence of multiple complex needs.

The successful post holder will work as part of a team delivering flexible and person-centred support to people in a wide variety of situations to access housing and support them to keep it.

We are looking for a person with a proven record as a team player with excellent communication skills; it is essential that you have a desire to work alongside people in a housing support setting, and desirable that you have experience of working with people impacted by multiple and complex needs. We would welcome applicants with lived experience of some of the issues that we support people with.

An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a 'Housing Practitioner' is desirable; the willingness to work towards this is essential. A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.

As Bethany is a Christian organisation, this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with Equality Act 2010. Please note that one reference must be from your church minister or leader to endorse your live and active Christian faith and commitment.

Successful applicants for this post will require membership of the PVG scheme and registration with the SSSC.
