Overview

For over 10 years, Bethany Christian Trust has delivered a community‑based addiction recovery programme in Scotland.

As demand for this service grows, we are looking for a candidate to lead, develop and deliver Bethany’s Bridge to Freedom programme in a group setting while also supporting individuals on a 1‑2‑1 basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and deliver the Bridge to Freedom programme within a group setting.
  • Support individuals on a 1‑2‑1 basis, facilitating and developing recovery and resettlement work.
  • Partner with churches and other organisations around Glasgow to deliver integrated recovery support.
  • Plan, evaluate and expand group activities and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in facilitating, planning and working with vulnerable people in a community setting.
  • Experience developing new groups and building relationships with individuals and organisations.
  • Qualification in Social Work, Social Care, Community Education or a related discipline, or willingness to work towards such a qualification.
  • Active Christian faith and commitment (required for this Christian organisation).
  • Membership of the PVG scheme (or willingness to join).
  • Compliance with the Equality Act 2010 Occupational Requirement.
