Schedule: This position is 36 hours per week (3 12-hour shifts), night shifts. Weekend and holiday rotation required.
Where You’ll Work: Our 8‑bed CCU/ICU is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment staffed by a dedicated interdisciplinary team specializing in comprehensive critical care. Here, you’ll support patients requiring advanced therapies such as mechanical ventilation, non‑invasive ventilation (including BiPAP), central line management, and medication titration. It’s a highly collaborative setting where your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your contributions make a meaningful impact in our community hospital.
What You’ll Do: As an ICU RN at BID Milton, you’ll provide compassionate, high‑quality care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced clinical support. You’ll use your critical‑thinking skills to care for a diverse population, including post‑operative patients, individuals with complex medical needs, those recovering from respiratory illness, and patients transitioning to comfort‑focused care. Minimum Requirements:
- Equivalent to a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- Must complete an individualized critical care orientation and the Milton Hospital or equivalent telemetry course.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- Current IV skill preferred, completion of IV competency within six months of hire.
- At least two years medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
