Job Description:
- Computer operation as relevant to patient analysis, result reporting, patient demographics.
- Procurement of patient specimens for analysis.
- Inventory record keeping as directed.
- Bench maintenance as described in Blood-borne Pathogen Standard Manual.
- Dispensation of patient results.
- Train new employees.
- Mobile phlebotomy, nursing home, and on-call as directed.
- Process specimens that are being sent to reference laboratories.
- Patient registration, receptionist duties, specimen collection and processing at various laboratories on & offsite drawing stations.

Education/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate from an approved phlebotomy course or one year phlebotomy experience.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
Pay Range: $19.51 - $34.13. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
