Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is infection control.
- Maintain sterile technique.
- Perform duties according to procedure.
- Clean, sterilize, package, and assemble instrument sets.
- Clean reusable items, including surgical pieces, and process through sterilizers.
- Handle waste disposal and decontamination.
- Inspect equipment and instruments for condition and operation.
- Collect items for processing.
- Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Assist in data collection for Quality Assurance.
- Potential growth in surgical case charts, sterilization containers, and computerized applications.

- Currently enrolled in a Central Sterile Technician program; certification required within 1 year of employment.
