Job Purpose

Betfred Product Managers play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of products to deliver exceptional user experiences and achieve business objectives. This role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, defining and managing product backlogs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient product launches. By leveraging industry knowledge, customer insights, and analytics, Product Managers ensure that our offerings are competitive, innovative, and aligned with regulatory and market trends. The ultimate goal is to enhance customer satisfaction, maximize revenue, and position Betfred as a market leading operator of choice.

Job Duties

  • You will work with senior stakeholders and commercial Product Managers to understand the business objectives and to establish the product strategy while contributing your own ideas.
  • You will maintain the product roadmap through feature prioritisation and business case creation.
  • You will fulfil the role of Product Owner in relevant engineering teams according to your area/s of responsibility.
  • You will play a key role connecting the business with technology to bring them closer together and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • You will drive measurability in product features by setting KPIs and aligning to the business objectives.
  • You will define requirements and ideal solutions.
  • You will ensure that the product is always the best it can be by reviewing competitors and insisting on the highest quality output from your team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • You will have considerable previous experience in software delivery as a Product Owner/Manager.
  • You will have considerable previous experience in the gambling industry or other relevant experience.
  • You will have provable experience of leading by example.
  • Be able to work autonomously and manage the work of others.
  • Be able to support Product Owners in writing user stories and prioritising backlogs.
  • Be able to design solutions at a high level and make decisions about the best way to solve a problem.
  • Have a solid understanding of digital technology and the software development lifecycle in an agile, CI environment.
  • Be analytical in your approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational & time management skills.
