Job Purpose
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will take ownership for the quality of the testing projects and will work with the Lead Test Engineer to define the test strategy and plan for those projects. You will also be responsible for writing and executing the test scripts and reporting the results.
Job Duties
- Reviewing and analysing requirement documents ensuring both business and technical requirements are fully understood.
- Producing test documentation (test plans and test scripts) to agreed standards.
- Conducting quality testing on projects and raising issues to the agreed processes and timescales.
- Identifying and carrying out regression testing.
- Reporting defects accurately and managing through to successful resolution via Jira.
- Maintaining and creating product knowledge documentation.
- Assisting with any functional queries that may arise from users following releases.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essentials:
- Commercial software testing experience, including web and mobile testing.
- Commercial experience of preparing test documentation, such as test plans, test scripts, test strategies, defect reports and progress updates.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Proven experience of working with regular releases.
- Automation testing experience using Selenium.
- Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work within a team and individually on your own initiative.
- A proactive approach to your own personal development.
- Experience in API testing.
Desirables:
- Prior experience of working in the gambling industry or comparable projects with similar scope and intricacy.
- Familiarity with test management, issue tracking, and project management tools.
- Understanding of contemporary testing techniques and approaches.
- Previous testing experience involving 3rd Party feed data.
- Proficiency in API testing.
- Experience of using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving.
