The Steam Packet House Office team are the front of house ambassadors for the Betfred head office based in Manchester
As a key member of the team, the Receptionist Host plays a prominent part in creating a welcoming environment for all colleagues and visitors as well as assisting the Office Manager in running a busy reception area, ensuring it is always presentable and functioning efficiently.
Overall, the Receptionist Host undertakes a pivotal role in maintaining Betfred’s reputation through exemplary front of house services, thereby enhancing the overall experience for both employees and visitors at Betfred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests as they arrive at the office, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Ensure visitors sign‑in accordingly and passes are handed out after sign‑in.
- Maintaining an awareness of VIP visits and any activities taking place within the office.
- Be the first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries via email and mail.
- Support the Office Manager in managing room bookings for meeting rooms as required.
- Support the Office Manager ensuring that meeting rooms are set‑up in accordance with each meeting’s requirements. Reset each meeting room at the end of a session in preparation for the next.
- Where required, organise and coordinate hot desk system for hybrid employees and request cleaners to sanitise the desks ready for the next colleague.
- Proactively organise refreshments, including food, for meetings as required.
- Receive deliveries of post and packages and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate individual or department.
- Courier parcel dispatches, using the most cost‑effective solution for UK or International.
- Stock‑taking duties and re‑ordering of consumables for the office
