Job Purpose

We are seeking a collaborative QA Engineer to support quality practices within a delivery team. This role reports directly to the team’s Engineering Manager. You will support shift-left testing by considering testability early in designs and features and helping the team validate functionality before it reaches production. You will contribute to observability-led quality, using monitoring, metrics, and logging to understand system reliability, performance, and user experience in production. By leveraging these insights, you will help the team identify risks early, report issues effectively, and support continuous improvement of delivery outcomes. You will exercise sound judgment in balancing risk, speed, and coverage, collaborate with QA colleagues and engineers, and follow established processes and practices to maintain quality, consistency, and effectiveness within the team. Your work will help ensure confident releases and support a culture of quality-first engineering.

  • Expertise in performing exploratory testing to uncover defects and validate real-world usage scenarios.
  • Expertise in contributing to observability-led quality, leveraging monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerts to understand system reliability and performance.
  • Experience of identifying and reporting risks, issues, and defects to support informed team decisions.
  • Experience of participating in continuous improvement by suggesting refinements to QA processes and practices.
  • Experience of collaborating with Product, UX, Tech Leads, and Engineers to ensure QA practices are consistently applied.
