Reporting to the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Team Leader, the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Analyst plays a key role in identifying, investigating, and reporting customers who may be displaying potentially suspicious activity.
You’ll conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks — including open-source research — to ensure that all customers are verified, risk-assessed, and managed in accordance with AML and CTF regulations.
This role involves direct interaction with customers requiring professionalism, empathy, and confidence when discussing personal and financial circumstances such as source of funds and source of wealth.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative and supportive team, committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and personal development.

Responsibilities
- Monitor customer activity, reports, and alerts to identify potential indicators of suspicious or unusual behaviour.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and determine whether a customer presents potential money laundering or terrorist financing risk.
- Complete high-quality Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and AML reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Take appropriate preventative or restrictive actions on customer accounts where necessary, in line with internal policy and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out customer interactions, ensuring all communication is handled professionally, sensitively, and compliantly.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, actions taken, and rationale for all decisions.
- Act as a point of escalation for internal teams — including Safer Gambling, Fraud & Payments, and Customer Service — where AML concerns are identified.
- Ensure all queries are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with department service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Work towards and achieve defined KPI targets, balancing compliance requirements with a smooth and responsible customer experience.
- Maintain a Quality Assurance score that meets or exceeds the department’s standards for accuracy, service, and professionalism.
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements to processes, systems, and procedures that enhance efficiency and compliance.
