Who we are looking for
A UI-UX Developer, who will work with analysts, developers and testers to enhance our portfolio of internal applications.
Business System Solutions is an exciting new function set up to support the continual growth of the Business. The team utilises various technologies to provide custom built solutions or to implement third-party products and services which will support processes to drive effectiveness, efficiency, scalability and sustainability.
You will be responsible for implementing feature rich, interactive user interfaces for our varied portfolio of bespoke applications. These tools are key in supporting many areas of the Business including Fraud and Risk, Customer Due Diligence, Responsible Gambling, Technology and Customer Service.
You will be responsible for shaping the future direction of our user interfaces, ensuring that new technologies are considered as they become available, whilst also considering UX best practice and always striving to give the customer the best experience possible.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
- Commercial experience in coding in HTML5 and CSS 3.
- Good understanding of SASS, LESS, REACT, TypeScript, Adobe XD and other similar UI prototyping tools.
- Experience with CSS animations and transitions.
- Knowledgeable experience of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience with mobile first responsive design.
- Consideration for UX.
- Passionate about software development and technology.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering front-end code with a focus on quality, efficiency and speed to market.
- Supporting product owners as required.
- Ensuring UI consistency both internally within applications and between our application product set.
- Supporting and enhancing the existing code base.
- Working individually and with the team to produce high quality applications.
- Making the best use of technology, learning new skills as required.
- Creating work effort estimates as required.
- Supporting all phases of projects.
