The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
A Messaging Engineer, who will actively manage, support and develop Unified Communication (UC) technologies across the Business.
You will contribute to the engineering and architecture disciplines by utilising your knowledge to plan, build, deploy and support new and existing UC technologies.
You will be responsible for all technical collateral including high level designs, standards and incident response plans. You will collaborate with other teams to proactively monitor system performance, addressing and resolving any issues. The role will ensure service availability is maintained and improved, leading to an enhanced user experience.
This role is eligible for the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
- Extensive experience working within an enterprise Business in a 3rd line UC position.
- Experience managing feature changes and lifecycle management.
- Ability to manage On-Premise and Cloud platform infrastructure through design, implementation, continual service improvement and maintenance.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and best practice.
- Knowledge of identity management and hybrid ecosystem.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- In depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, Cisco ESA, Mobile Device Management and Mobile Access Management such as ntune and Workspace One, and Message Hygiene including Filtering, EOP and ATP.
- Experience of strategic planning and decision making to align IT with Business objectives.
- Ability to understand and deliver tasks and projects to Business standards.
- Ability to work to deadlines and pragmatic approach to administration, governance and risk.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintaining and managing all UC services, upgrades, changes and service improvements, whilst ensuring operational stability is paramount.
- Designing platforms and services that are highly available and resilient to support a user base of over 10,000 users.
- Ensuring all On-Premise and Cloud applications are protected and secured in line with information security standards.
- Maintaining downstream products, governing updates, feature changes and 3rd line support, whilst ensuring each update is reviewed on a schedule, forecasting and reviewing changes in line with the technology roadmap.
- Delivering all work proactively, whilst liaising with multiple teams to drive the solutions and deadlines.
- Presenting technology decisions that are supported by the vendor, which work in line with the current technology estate and outline impact and risks.
- Managing Projects, Small Works, Service Improvements and 3rd line BAU.
- Ensuring each platform and service is correctly monitored with the correct thresholds for KPIs and alerts.
- Managing service roadmaps, consistently reviewing growth and consumption.
- Creating reporting packs to demonstrate platform health, version control and feature changes.
