About the role As a Backend Developer, you’ll build the engine behind our FollowScores app, turning complex data into real-time updates for millions of football fans. The FollowScores team builds the technology behind our popular football scores app. We are scaling the platform to reach more users and launching fresh, innovative features to keep fans at the heart of the action. The backend team manages the systems delivering data to iOS and Android apps via web sockets and REST APIs. This involves working with Golang, Redis, and GCP to ensure high-performance delivery. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid work from home policy. Main Responsibilities: Developing scalable, maintainable, and performant systems. Building modern Golang microservices with provided in-house training. Delivering solutions that meet specific business requirements. Fostering a culture of technical expertise and collaboration. Integrating third-party systems into the existing architecture. The skills and experience to help you perform in the role: Knowledge of Golang, Redis and GCP, though expertise in similar or alternative technologies such as .NET are welcome. Experience delivering robust software solutions that adhere to industry best practice. Proven record of accomplishment in high availability multi-client compatible development.
