Who we are looking for

A Junior Quantitative Analyst, who will work within a team of talented individuals utilising both analytical and technical skills, along with a general passion for eSports. The focus of the team is designing, implementing and maintaining mathematical models to provide accurate pricing across the eSports betting product. The day to day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technologies greatest challenges. This role is eligible for inclusion in the company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Mathematical or Computer Science-based discipline.
  • Keen interest in a wide range of eSports and the online gambling industry.
  • Good understanding of probability and statistics.
  • Experience with technologies such as C#, Go, Visual Basic, R, Python, or SQL.
  • Experience analysing large data sets.
  • Experience with machine learning.
  • Understanding of Windows and Office applications.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Committed and flexible with a can do attitude towards work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining the pricing algorithms used in eSports betting models.
  • Implementing solutions into code.
  • Analysing data to quantify and refine pricing methodologies.
  • Analysing performance of models and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identifying and solving bugs that are causing errors or problems within models.
  • Managing code versions using source control systems ensuring proper documentation and version control.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure alignment with requirements and technical solutions.
  • Learning touch points where changes within a model may have an impact on other business areas.
  • Supporting other teams who are integrating or testing the eSports models.
