As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role within our dedicated Verification team as we embark on a ground up re-architecture. Within the Verification team, you will develop, enhance, and support our Business-critical Verification platform with the delivery of real time facial recognition systems using innovative AI technology to core operational tooling.
Verification operates as a full stack team who are in the process of undertaking a ground up re-architecture into Golang, React and Cloud platforms. Core skills within the team are Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang and Typescript.
You will drive the development and implementation of robust verification systems, ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. Your technical leadership will empower a talented group of developers to innovate and excel in delivering reliable solutions, while fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills and Experience- Commercial experience with leading development solutions.
- Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or Typescript, or experience with similar or alternative technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in mentoring and coaching a team.
- Good technical documentation skills.
- High standards of work and attention to detail.
- Experience of working with high availability, multiuser, service-based systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline, or relevant professional experience.
- Applying active governance around overall solution design, code quality and coding standards with the team.
- Assisting in driving the provision of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
- Acting as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
- Reviewing the team’s adherence and output.
- Ensuring solutions meet Business needs.
- Taking responsibility for work estimation, producing solution documents, and ensuring accurate portrayals of effort can be obtained and subsequently delivered.
- Understanding the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems the team is responsible for and how those systems are configured in the development and production estate.
- Collaborating with all stakeholders, including managers and Architects, to create fit for purpose solutions.
